Building organisational resiliency by developing and embedding a strategy to continue critical business activities through a disruption.
Our meticulous planning minimalises the impact to your business during a crisis.
Business Continuity Management (BCM) is a discipline to identify and prepare for disruption to normal business operations. We deliver a proven, organisation wide methodology that can greatly enhance an organisations resiliency while significantly reducing impact during a disruption.
Our Business Continuity team are all certified by the Business Continuity Institute and work closely with clients seeking to align with or gain accreditation against ISO 22301. We employ a three phased approach to business continuity.
Business Impact Analysis (BIA) is one of the most critical actions of the entire continuity process. It allows the company identify, qualify and quantify the impact to the organisation, essentially mapping the current business landscape considering cause and affect. The accurate collation of this data is a critical step in creating a robust business continuity strategy.
Having evaluated the intelligence captured during the BIA phase, processes are drafted and refined forming the foundations of the Business Continuity Plans (BCP). The planning process creates an opportunity for organisation wide input into the response to a business incident. The plans then identify resources, responsibilities and processes to be initiated during an incident.
Implementing and managing the BCP requires adequate resources and response structures to swiftly return the business to normal operations. Ongoing examination of the process plan is imperative to validate its effectiveness, adapt to business model changes and successfully build resilience.
Critical Incident Response
A crisis can have a profound affect on an organisations operations, reputation and ultimately its personnel. For over a decade Reconnaissance has worked with clients in all phases of a crisis, experiencing first hand the contrast in recovery timelines of planned and unplanned crisis response measures. Planned, practiced and organised response procedures is critical to re-establishing operations and reassuring shareholder confidence.
Whether you have a dedicated Business Continuity Management System in place or your simply want to prepare and test your organisations resiliency, an exercise programme can deliver excellent insights. Our continuity specialists work with clients to establish and run a number of ‘exercise’ strategies designed to test the organisations response to a lack of people, lack of access and lack of infrastructure, all highly likely outcomes during a disruption. These exercises also provide insights and focus into how the organisations response to a crisis is managed at an organisational level.
