Managing Director: Shane Henry

Mr Shane Henry served in the military for eight years travelling extensively throughout the Middle East and Africa. Shane was involved with the training of over two hundred personnel in preparation for deployment for active service. While in the Army, Shane decided to pursue academic studies in Security & Risk Management and now holds a Degree from the Department of Criminology University of Leicester in Security & Risk Management. Shane moved into the Private Security Industry and travelled extensively throughout hostile and emerging markets upon leaving the military in close protection and risk management roles. In 2004 Shane formed Reconnaissance Group and oversees the operation of the business on a daily basis. Shane’s military experience coupled with his private security industry experience has aided Reconnaissance to evolve into a company of over 1500 staff operating in 6 markets. Shane believes strongly in client satisfaction and guides Reconnaissance through processes that enables partnerships and secures clients business activities. Shane has developed a unique concept with the Reconnaissance business model that is aimed at securing its clients in a cost effective manner while enabling business. This model has benefited large multinationals throughout all of its markets.

Operations Director: Jon Tipper 

Mr Jon Tipper began his career in the security and risk management industry almost 20 years ago as a member of the Royal Air Force Police in the United Kingdom. During this part of his career Jon was deployed to different operations throughout the world in a Policing and Risk Management role, notably assisting in the design and implementation of the Royal Air Forces new base in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. After leaving the RAF, Jon has travelled extensively on executive protection and Risk management tasks. He came on board with Reconnaissance Group in summer 2007 where he has been providing global risk management and personal and asset protection solutions to clients throughout Asia Pacific, Central America and the Caribbean and in Europe. His position as Operations Director gives him oversight on multiple operations in these regions and is responsible for over 1500 staff and sub contractors worldwide. In Haiti, Jon has developed a country wide security team that mitigates risks to client’s sites and assets. Jon has liaised successfully with all nationals agencies to ensure continuity of business through turbulent political crisis and ensured the health, safety and security of client staff.
